Numerous EV charging infrastructures have been deployed in Europe and in America these last ten years. To the best of our knowledge, all these infrastructures rely on the first generation of charging stations. 1G charging stations enable to recharge the battery of an EV in a few tens of minutes up to a few hours if the battery is totally discharged.
Such delays being in practice unacceptable for the users, the only solution proposed today relies on public pools of shared EV charging stations.
The aim of this project is to investigate some of the challenges inherent to the deployment of ultra-fast charging stations pools able to reduce a full recharge to 10 minutes.
This project covers various topics, from physics, to optimization techniques via queueing theory.
